Following Microsoft Build 2024, ASUS has also announced its own AI PC laptop, which is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X platform. It’s the ASUS Vivobook S 15 refresh, without AI being tacked onto the name.
As mentioned earlier, the key difference in this model over the previous generations is that the new ASUS Vivobook S 15 runs the new Snapdragon X chipsets. The choice includes both the X Plus and X Elite chips with the integrated Adreno graphics.

The rest of the ASUS Vivobook S 15 spec sheet includes a 15.6-inch 2,880 x 1,620 OLED display, featuring the old 16:9 aspect ratio, and up to 120Hz refresh rate, paired with a Full HD IR camera. Memory options go all the way up to 32GB LPDDR5X-8448, while storage caps out at a 1TB of PCIe 4 SSD. The battery is rated at 70Wh providing a claimed 18 hours of use.
For ports, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 has two USB4 ports, two USB 3.2 ports, one HDMI 2.1 TMDS port, one audio jack and a microSD card reader. On the wireless side, there’s WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Everything is packed together in a device that weighs 1.42kg.

One nifty feature that the ASUS Vivobook S 15 sports is what is called Adaptive lock, or the ability to lock itself up if it detects that you’ve stepped away. This is a nice security feature, with a nice added bonus of extending battery life.
As for when it will actually be available, ASUS Malaysia says that the ASUS Vivobook S 15 will land on our shores some time in “early Q3” of the year. No prices were provided either, but it’s likely the company will share more when a specific launch date becomes available. For what it’s worth, this laptop is already listed on the company’s official site, so you can head on over there to find out more.
