As well as further weight loss.

We’ve already seen multiple leaks relating to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, which is expected to be revealed in three months’ time. But maybe it is not all that surprising that more have surfaced recently, courtesy of frequent leakster, @UniverseIce. Said leakster has made two claims in recent days, on their account on X, formerly Twitter.

The first claim is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will be lighter than the current model. The exact weight figure provided is 239g, which is noted to be the same weight as the OnePlus Open in black. In other words, it would be about the same weight as the OPPO Find N3. For reference, the current Samsung foldable weighs in at 253g.

Second on the list of claims being made about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is that it would have a slightly wider outer screen. Measuring 6.3 inches across, it will also have an aspect ratio of 22:9, as opposed to the 6.2-inch 23.1:9 of the current generation. The main screen on the inside is noted to be mostly unchanged, measuring 7.6 inches with a 7:6 aspect ratio.

Continuing the exclusive leak, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 standard version has an unfolded thickness of 5.6mm, a folded thickness of 12.1mm, and a weight of 239 grams. The resolution of both the internal and external screens has been improved. The internal screen is 7.6 inches,…

Also provided by the leakster are some purported thickness measurements for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, both when folded and unfolded. For the former it’s 12.1mm, while for the latter it’s 5.6mm. Though the latter did get some pushback from fellow leakster @OnLeaks, who shared CAD renders of the same device back in February.

My data is official, it's the standard version, I don't know anything about Ultra. https://t.co/XLPHyVcWmm

At any rate, the usual dose of salt is advised as with any other leak. Though the bit about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 having a wider outer screen would be nice if it was true. If you’ve ever given other foldables like the aforementioned OPPO Find N3 or the HONOR Magic V2 a try, this can be an understandable pain point.
