The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro was spotted in the SIRIM database late last year, which indicated an imminent local launch. It looks like the brand has done so with little fanfare, as the wearable is now available via its official store on online retailer Shopee. Though it also looks like the company is offering early birds a slight discount for the wearable.
In case you missed it, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro comes with a 1.74-inch 60Hz screen with a peak brightness of 600 nits. It is powered by a 289mAh battery, which the company claims can power the wearable for up to 14 days. As you’d expect from a product of this nature, it comes with built-in GPS, as well as the usual suite of health tracking features, from heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring to sleep and stress level tracking.
For the ladies, there’s also the ability to keep track of menstrual cycles. The entire package also comes with a 5ATM rating, meaning water resistance up to 5m.
As mentioned above, you can get the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro via the company’s official store on Shopee, and this is despite the main site itself listing the wearable as “coming soon”. It comes with a retail price of RM339, but get it by 7 March, and you’ll get a RM40 discount. A free Quick Release Strap for the wearable is also being thrown in as part of the deal.
