BigPay has introduced TravelEasy, a comprehensive travel insurance that’s available to users starting today. The insurance itself is underwritten by Tune Protect, and is offered directly via the AirAsia-owned payment service‘s mobile application.
TravelEasy promises to provide users with an application process that can be completed within minutes. BigPay adds that the new addition also aims to highlight the importance of getting insured for your travels, while making the purchase convenient and affordable.
“With TravelEasy you can get it done and get protected whenever you have a few minutes to spare before you fly”, said BigPay Group CEO Zubin Rada Krishnan in a press statement. “Beyond the ability to just top-up your wallet, and spend using your VISA card or through cross-border QR, this is another way BigPay provides travellers with peace of mind when they journey abroad.”
TravelEasy provides worldwide coverage with plans starting from RM35 for international trips, with up to RM300k coverage for medical expenses and accidents. On top of that, the insurance also covers travel inconveniences such as loss of baggage, travel delays, and more.
To apply, simply open the BigPay app and tap “Insurance” under Utilities. From there, tap “TravelEasy – Individual” and “Get quote”, and then fill in your travel details. Once that’s completed, pick your preferred plan and check out.
