The Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G smartphone that was first unveiled back in August is now available in Malaysia. The phone is the high-end variant from the brand’s Pova 5 line-up, featuring a mid-range Mediatek Dimensity chipset and even RGB lighting on its rear panel. What’s even more attractive is its pricing, which falls below the RM1,000 range.
According to Tecno Malaysia, local specifications for the Pova 5 Pro 5G are exactly the same as its release in Indonesia. To start things off, its display features a 6.87-inch LCD panel with FHD+ (1080 x 2460 px) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 16MP selfie camera within the on-screen cutout. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and a USB-C 2.0 connector.
Under the hood of the phone is a 5G-enabled MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, along with a single memory configuration consisting of 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging and 10W reverse charging, while its wireless connectivity support includes dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC.
On the back of the Pro model is a stylish rear panel that’s available in either Silver Fantasy or Dark Illusion, which also features a RGB lighting system. Of course, not forgetting the dual-camera setup that’s also found here, which comprises a 50MP primary shooter and a 0.08MP auxiliary lens.
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is priced at RM799. Those interested can purchase the new smartphone via the brand’s official online stores on Shopee and Lazada starting today.
