Product pages for the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s entry-level smartphones are now live on Samsung Malaysia’s website ahead of their official announcements. It was previously discovered that both phones had already been listed on the SIRIM database prior to this, indicating that their local launches are expected to happen very soon.

According to their respective pages, it is confirmed that the duo are only capable of supporting cellular connectivity of up to 4G only. And while they are part of the same family, the Samsung Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s feature slightly varying designs, with the latter being the only model that offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and higher camera count of three. Despite their differences, both phones sport notched displays, flat-edged frames, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Starting with the Samsung Galaxy A05, the screen on this particular model features a PLS LCD panel which offers a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Under the phone’s hood is an unspecified octa-core processor, though prior leaks suggest that it could be a MediaTek Helio G85. Paired together with it is a single memory configuration that consists of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD), while its battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh and supports 25W fast charging via USB-C.

In terms of imaging, on the back of the phone is a dual camera setup which comprises a 50MP primary and 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, housed within the water-drop notch on its display is an 8MP selfie camera. Besides that, the Galaxy A05 offers a linearly patterned rear case and is available in three colourways: Black, Silver and Light Green.

Next up is the Samsung Galaxy A05s, which comes with a PLS LD display that offers a higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Internally, this model is confirmed to be a Snapdragon 680 chipset, along with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (also expandable up to 1TB via microSD). Like its sibling, it too is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging via USB-C.

For photography, the triple camera setup on the back of the phone features a 50MP primary, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, found within the water-drop notch on its display sits a 13MP selfie camera. As for colour options, this particular model is offered in Light Green, Silver, Black and Purple.

As mentioned earlier, Samsung has yet to reveal the pricing and availability for both the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s. However, given the fact that their product pages are already live, it is very likely that the company will make an official announcement very soon.
