Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the serial leakster who has shared many a leaked image of upcoming mobile devices, has been on a binge of what they believe to be the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Case in point, their most recent leaked render shows the front of the device, along with some alleged specifications.

Specifically, The leakster claims to have gotten exclusive information about the S24 Ultra and its display. They say that the phone will have a 6.8-inch display – 6.78-inches when you take the bezels into consideration – with a resolution of 3120 x 1440, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. For context, 1,000 nits is considered “sunlight-readable”, so you can imagine just how bright 2,500 nits can be, especially if you max out the display brightness on the device.

Prior to the current render, Ice Universe also shared other rendered images of the S24 Ultra and its size, compared to another unreleased phone, the Xiaomi 14, plus Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Ultra. In contrast, the unreleased Samsung mobile device looks a lot taller and wider. More to the point, it also looks virtually identical to Samsung’s current flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra, which itself is basically a very slight upsized version of the S22 Ultra.

Beyond that, there isn’t any additional information about the alleged S24 Ultra, but reports from Sammobile appear to suggest that the upcoming flagship will be fitted with, unsurprisingly, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC. That being said, we’re also going to have to wait until the end of the year for official confirmation by Qualcomm on that.
