nubia has announced that it is officially launching its budget gaming phone in the Malaysian market, the nubia Neo 5G. The phone comes in two “futuristic” colourways and will be available for pre-orders on 16 July 2023.
The nubia Neo 5G sports a 6.6-inch 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and “screen brightening technology” that the complain claims to improve the screen’s visibility in outdoor use. For surround sound, the speakers on the phone supports DTS:X Ultra. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Under the hood, it runs on a Unisoc T820 paired with 8GM of RAM and 256GB of storage with a multi-layer heat dissipation system to keep it cool. For photography, the back of the Neo 5G features a 50MP main camera alongside a 2MP depth sensor, while the front notch houses an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering the phone is a 4,500mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging.
The nubia Neo 5G will retail for RM899, but the first 50 people to pre-order on its official Shopee store can get it with a RM30 discount at only RM869. Moreover, pre-orders also come with a free Red Magic Turbo Cooler worth RM269, although stocks are limited.
