AirAsia has once again launched a free seats campaign, this time focusing on domestic flights. From 1 to 7 May 2023, the budget airline is offering a whopping 50,000 free seats to local destinations, with the classic theme of Cuti-Cuti Malaysia.

As with most of its campaigns, of course, it comes with a lot of caveats but if you take advantage of it well enough, you could always walk away with a good deal. The promo seats are available between Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Penang, Kota Bharu, Tawau, Sibu, and Miri, as well as between Kota Kinabalu and Tawau — in other words, flights that use the airline code AirAsia Malaysia (AK).

Peninsular flights start from RM25 for an all-in one-way fare, from RM28 for Sarawak, and from RM34 for Sabah. These prices are inclusive of airport taxes, the MAVCOM fee, fuel surcharges, and other applicable fees.

During the promo’s booking period, customers can get free seats on these domestic routes for any date between 8 May to 31 October 2023. This is the low-cost carrier’s second free seat campaign of the year, with the last one seeing the company give away five million free seats.

In related news, AirAsia recently launched a new service for its e-hailing platform that allows you to pre-book a ride to and from airports in certain countries. As of now, the feature is available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2, Don Mueang International Airport in Thailand, and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia.

Through the company’s super app, you can pre-book an airport airasia ride as early as three days in advance or as late as four hours. Another new feature on the app is the queuing service, which lets you skip the process of queuing up at popular restaurants that do not allow reservations, although it is currently limited to Bangkok.
