Samsung Unveils Limited Edition Mamee Monster, Inside Scoop, and AirAsia Cover Straps

When Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip3 last year, the company also introduced several uniquely designed protective cases for the model to fit its foldable form factor and the phone’s intended target market. One such case features a removable strap that provides an additional hand grip for the phone.

Since then, the company has released several co-branded straps for the case which have now been made available for Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S8 as well. However, the latest cover straps that Samsung has just announced in Malaysia are rather different from previous releases.

This is because for the first time ever, Samsung has roped in Malaysian brands to come out with a brand-new set of collaborative cover straps. The said brands include the famed noodle snack Mamee Monster and ice cream outfit Inside Scoop as well as the low-cost airline, fintech, delivery, and e-hailing operator, AirAsia.

Unfortunately, you can’t simply visit your nearest Samsung Experience Stores and purchase these straps though which usually cost RM79 each. As it turns out, you can only obtain them when you purchase a Samsung Cover with Strap for either Galaxy S22 Series devices, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Tab S7, or Galaxy Tab S8 directly from Samsung Malaysia Online Store.

Not only that, you also can’t pick your own favourite design as Samsung will be giving them away on a random basis. Price-wise, the Silicon Cover with Strap for Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy Z Flip3 can be obtained for RM169 each while the Strap Cover for Galaxy Tab S8/S7 costs RM329.

Samsung said that these limited-edition cover straps will only be made available up until the end of this month, so make sure to make your move before they are gone. Previously, the company has released Disney-themed cover straps in Malaysia that feature Mickey Mouse, Marvel, National Geographic, Star Wars, and The Simpsons.
