Aside from showcasing concept products such as the Nyx, Alienware has also announced the R2 version of its X-Series gaming laptops at CES 2022. The timing of the announcement is not a random choice though as it took place together with the unveiling of the 12th Gen Intel Core mobile processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile graphics.

Hence, it didn’t come as a surprise that both components have been equipped into the Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2 which are now readily available in Malaysia. Design-wise, they are similar to last year’s R1 models though.

As captured on Dell Malaysia’s website at 9:42 PM today.

With a discounted price tag of RM11,099, the base X15 R2 comes with a Full HD 165Hz panel for its 15.6-inch display, Intel Core i7-12700H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics, 16GB LPDDR5-5200 dual-channel RAM, and 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe solid state drive.

If you want to go further, you can max out the hardware package for X15 R2 to a Full HD 360Hz panel, Core i9-12900H processor, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics, 32GB LPDDR5-5200 dual-channel RAM, and two 1TB SSD in RAID 0 mode. This setup is currently listed at RM29,574 after the RM1,900 promo rebate.

As captured on Dell Malaysia’s website at 9:41 PM today.

On another hand, the base X17 R2 which costs RM16,099 after rebate is equipped with a 17.3-inch Full HD 165Hz screen, Core i7-12700H, 32GB DDR5-4800 dual-channel RAM, and 1TB SSD. You can max out the laptop specs by choosing the Full HD 360Hz display panel, Core i9-1200HK, 64GB DDR5-4800 dual-channel RAM, two 1TB SSD in RAID 0 mode, and CherryMX ultra low-profile mechanical keyboard.
