Barely a few days after the date was spotted inside its website, Samsung today has officially confirmed that the company’s next Unpacked launch event will indeed take place on Wednesday, 9 February. While the company did not specifically mention the name of the new Galaxy device that will be revealed at the event, Samsung made no attempt to hide the fact that Galaxy S22 will be the centre of attention at the upcoming Unpacked event.

Just take a look at the short animation that accompanied the official announcement by Samsung:

In the same announcement, Samsung stated that the new Galaxy S series will not only set “epic new standard” but it will also be the most “noteworthy” S series that the company has crafted so far. Additionally, other key messages that Samsung has generally carried from the recent editorial piece by TM Roh are “break through the night” and “break the rules” which are something we predict will also be used extensively as part of Galaxy S22’s marketing campaign.

Meanwhile, Samsung Malaysia has also opened up the Registration of Interest webpage for local consumers ahead of the 9 February launch event. Those who signed up will be provided with an e-voucher worth RM 200 that they can use to pre-order the new Galaxy devices later.
