When the PS5 was first announced, Gran Turismo 7 was also announced as among the first party games to be available on the console. Initially getting a release window of the second half of this year, the game has been pushed back to early next year. Now, the developers at Polyphony Digital has revealed the exact date: 4 March 2022.
The release date also came with a new trailer, showing off the game’s usual photorealistic visuals. It also showcased some of the features that you can expect from the game. Among them is the Livery Editor which, according to Kazunori Tamauchi, the creator of the GT series, was a widely used feature when it was introduced in GT Sport. Its iteration in GT7 will come with the expected improvements to user interface, utility and accessibility.
Of course, GT7 is not just about the Livery Editor. You’ll be able to tune, mod and take photos of your favourite cars when you’re not racing them. It is, after all, the video game series with a deal with Getty Images for exclusive in-game event photos.
As mentioned earlier, Gran Turismo 7 will be released on 4 March 2022. This will see the game becoming available on both PS4 and PS5.
