GoCar Garage Services Your Car And Gives You A Free Ride While You Wait

Car-sharing platform GoCar has launched GoCar Garage, a one-stop centre for car servicing and maintenance. The feature emphasises its end-to-end service, where they will pick up and drop off your car for free, anywhere within Klang Valley as part of GoCar’s focus on “mobility-as-a-service.”

GoCar Garage is located at its hub in Petaling Jaya and provides maintenance and replacement for your car’s batteries, tyres, air conditioners, brakes, electrics, body paint, as well as a 45-minute oil change that starts from RM98. The oil change is inclusive of the oil filter and drain washer and customers can choose from three types of engine oils — fully synthetic, semi-synthetic, and mineral.

Customers paying for any of these services will also get a bunch of free benefits such as car wash and sanitation, 31-point vehicle inspection, a six-month warranty for replacement parts, and only for the month of August, free door-to-door delivery service via GoValet (within 50km of the GoCar Hub). Best of all, you get free two-hour usage of a car from GoCar while you wait for your vehicle to finish being serviced. Disclaimer though, you’ll still need to pay for a one-time RM20 membership fee if you don’t already have it.

Booking a service through GoCar Garage is relatively fuss-free too: simply download the GoCar app via Google Play or App Store, get yourself verified, and choose your vehicle and what services you want. The app will notify you of the upfront cost of the services and will only start work after you give confirmation. Once they’re done, you’ll be notified and you can choose whether to pick it up or have them drop it off at a designated location.

If you’re intrigued by this, you can go on the app and schedule a free vehicle inspection. As a reminder, senior citizens and persons with disabilities living in the Petaling district can still take advantage of GoCar’s GoVax programme to get free transportation to and from vaccination appointments.
