We’re now in the tail end of July. This was once the usual time Sony Interactive Entertainment announces next month’s free games for PlayStation Plus (PS Plus ) subscribers. Though in recent times the company has been pushing its reveal date further back in the calendar. Perhaps there was a lapse in the new trend, because for a short moment, the company did reveal the games for next month.

Twitter user @Wario64 posted a screenshot of the PlayStation website showing next month’s free games for PS Plus subscribers. They are Plant vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, Tennis World Tour 2, and Hunter’s Arena: Legends. The last one being the PS5 game of the month. Visiting the website now shows the current set of free games, suggesting that the reveal was an accidental one.

It’s worth noting that, supposing that there are no plans to change the set of games that slipped, it’s possible that we in Malaysia won’t be getting an identical list. We in Asia did on occasion get very slightly different sets of games for our PS Plus free games. And even within Southeast Asia we’ve gotten slightly different games as compared to some of our neighbours.

At any rate, we will know for sure within the coming week. PlayStation Asia these days often reveals the month’s free games for PS Plus subscribers a week before they go live. And judging from this month’s set, this is bound to happen by 3 August.
