Originally launched at CES earlier this year, Lenovo is launching two new 2021 Legion 5 Series gaming laptops in Malaysia soon. Both of them are powered by the equally new AMD Ryzen 5000 Series mobile chip and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics for notebooks.

Let’s start with the 2021 Legion 5 Pro which is equipped with a 16-inch QHD 165Hz IPS display that also has 100% sRGB colour gamut coverage, Dolby Vision support, and DisplayHDR 400 certified panel. Lenovo also pointed out that the display’s brightness level can be pushed further up to 500 nits.

The 2.45 kg gaming laptop also features a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard, 80Whr battery, and 300W power brick.  In Malaysia, the Legion 5 Pro comes standard AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU that has a 140W TGP rating, alongside 16GB RAM and 1TB PCIe NVMe solid state drive.

Meanwhile, there is also the 2021 Legion 5 which is also equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H chip, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. However, the laptop carries a lower-end graphics chip though in the form of GeForce RTX 3060 with a TGP rating of 130W.

The gaming laptop also features a smaller 15.6-inch IPS display with lower Full HD resolution and maximum brightness level of 300 nits but still has a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and 100% sRGB colour gamut coverage. Just like the higher-end Pro model, the 2021 Legion 5 also 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard, 80Whr battery, and 300W power brick.

Aside from their hardware and screen size, another factor that differentiates the 2021 Legion 5 Pro and Legion 5 gaming laptops are their build material. Specifically, the chassis on the Legion 5 Pro is made from aluminium while Lenovo has the polycarbonate-ABS mix for the standard Legion 5 model.

Price-wise, the 2021 Legion 5 Pro goes for RM 6,799 while the 2021 Legion 5 can be obtained for RM 6,099. Early adopters that pre-ordered these new Legion gaming laptops will also be provided with a TTRacing Surge gaming chair, RM 200 Steam Wallet voucher, and Legion merchandises.

Both of these new 2021 Legion 5 Series gaming laptops can be obtained via Lenovo’s official store on Lazada and Shopee as well as Lenovo e-Exclusive Store by NBP on Lazada and TMT at Shopee. Gamers can also choose to obtain them from the NVIDIA GeForce store on Lazada.
