As noted in our earlier report, Huawei has recently confirmed that it will be launching the new MateBook 14 2020 laptop in Malaysia soon. Fast forward to today, the company has since revealed that the laptop will be made available for pre-order from 26 to 29 October, before it is released into the shelfs on 30 October.
For our market, the MateBook 14 2020 will be made available in two different processor variants which include the AMD Ryzen 5 4500H and Ryzen 7 4800H. Regardless of the processor that you choose though, the laptop comes standard with 16GB of DDR4-2666 RAM and 512GB PCIe solid state drive.
Other than that, the MateBook 14 2020 is equipped with a 14-inch IPS touch display that has a 3:2 aspect ratio with a native resolution of 2160 x 1440. Being a Huawei device, the laptop also supports the Huawei Share feature which allows users to utilise their Huawei phone directly from the MateBook 14 2020 as well as drag and drop files between both devices seamlessly.
Pricewise, the MateBook 14 2020 with Ryzen 5 is listed at RM 3799 while the Ryzen 7 version will be available for RM 4399. As part of the pre-order promotion which is available via Huawei Malaysia’s official website and its official Shopee store, Huawei will also provide customers with a FreeBuds 3 true wireless earbuds, wireless mouse, and a backpack to customers.
