Astro has announced that Ultra Box users can now enjoy Video On Demand (VOD) content in 4K UHD as part of their subscription at no additional cost. These new additions include several blockbuster movies, TV shows and documentaries to the service‘s already massive streaming library.
Subscribers can explore the newly added 4K UHD content on their Astro Ultra Box by pressing the Home button on their remote and peruse through the Catch-Up, Movies or Boxsets tabs in the menu. Furthermore, a dedicated 4K UHD VOD rail is also available on-screen for easy discoverability. The company reveals that new content includes movies and shows including Trolls World Tour, Gemini Man, Curi-curi Cinta, The Great Shukonin, and much more.
Users can also rent additional 4K movies via the built-in Store menu for as low as RM9 for 48 hours, while Astro Best and First movies are priced at RM12 and RM17 respectively. Keep in mind that the prices mentioned are excluding the 6% tax which will be reflected upon payment.
Astro notes that Ultra Box subscribers must have a compatible 4K TV with HDCP 2.2 HDMI and an internet speed of 30Mbps and above in order to fully enjoy the new 4K UHD content. Naturally, the company is also recommending its Astro & Broadband bundle for the best experience with this new addition.
