GALAX, the experts famed for producing and launching graphics cards with higher than average clock speeds, recently announced that its GeForce RTX 3080 SG graphics card will be the first product of NVIDIA’s new Ampere lineup to hit our market.

Officially known as its “Serious Gaming” series, the card will ship out with all the brand’s custom-cooling features and technology. On that note, the card sports a triple-fan cooler design, specifically, GALAX’s 92mm WINGS fans. With 11 fan blades on each fan to provide higher airflow and pressure, while also keeping decibels at a minimum. Further, the fans are also programmed with the company’s own 0 RPM technology, meaning the fans only start spinning after the GPU reaches a specific temperature.

Moving on, the card is also built with a special backplate for added rigidity, as well as a special cutout at the end of the plate, for better ventilation and overall cooling. Still on the subject of the ventilation hole, the RTX 3080 SG also comes with a special 80mm clip-on fan that fits right on top of the cutout. And pulls hot air through, further aiding the primary fans with the card’s heat dissipation.

Specs-wise, the card is powered with the NVIDIA’s 8nm Ampere GPU, has 10GB GDDR6X graphics memory, that in turn runs at a speed of 19Mbps. Spread across the card’s 320-bit memory bus. Regarding its clockspeeds, the card has a default boost clock of 1710MHz, but seeing how this is a GALAX card, there’s a “one-click OC” setting that pushes that clockspeed to 1725MHz.

The GALAX GeForce RTX 3080 SG will retail for RM3399. As for general availability, Eternal Asia, GALAX’s official distributor in Malaysia, says that the card will be available at all authorised PC retail stores in early October. In addition, each unit will come with a custom graphics card stand that is designed to prevent your card from sagging over a prolonged period.
