Apple has confirmed that its iPhone 12 will be released a few weeks after their official announcement. But now, it looks like the release of the phones will be staggered as well.

A DigiTimes report states that supply chain sources suggests Apple phasing the release of its iPhone 12 phones. The first phone to come will be the 6.1-inch device, and then followed by the 5.4- and 6.7-inch models. Suppliers of the SLP (substrate-like PCB) for the former models have begun shipping, with those for the other models to happen in late August. This is sort of in line with previous reports that stated production of the 6.1-inch models would have begun in July.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max Leaked 7

The Apple iPhone 12 has made the news pretty frequently in the past couple of months. In addition to its A14 RAM component getting leaked, there are also rumours that it will not ship with a charging adapter. There has also been some debate online on whether or not this is a good thing. In lieu of that though, it will possibly come with a braided Lightning to USB-C cable instead.

All in all, this may mean that the iPhone 12 will be hitting shelves later in the year than usual. This will especially be the case for the smaller and larger versions of the phone. As for when exactly, we’ll just have to wait for Apple to make the official announcement.
