Casio has announced two new major anime/manga G-Shock collaborations, not long after the unveiling of its Evangelion themed watch. This time around, the Japanese watchmaker will be releasing the Dragon Ball Z x G-Shock GA-110JDB and One Piece x G-Shock GA-110JOP limited editions next month.
The Dragon Ball Z x G-Shock GA-110JDB-1A4 watch comes in an orange and black colour scheme, and features illustrations of the protagonist Son Goku on its bands. Its watchface includes other familiar title-related motifs such as the four-starred dragon ball and the “Z” logo, and on its back is a stainless steel plate sporting an engraving of the Dragon Ball Z logo. The watch comes in an exclusive co-branded packaging, also in orange.
Meanwhile, the One Piece x G-Shock GA110JOP watch features a striking red, white and black patterned design, along with illustrations of title protagonist Monkey D Luffy on its bands. Luffy’s iconic straw hat and the word “WANTED” are also included on its watchface, and on its back is a “G-Shock x One Piece” engraving. Like the Dragon Ball limited edition, the watch comes in an exclusive packaging as well.
The Dragon Ball and One Piece limited edition G-Shock watches are slated to be shipped by July, and are confirmed to be released in Japan, Asia and Europe. The official G-Shock website lists both watches to be priced at JPY26,400 (~RM1,052). A Malaysian release date has yet to be confirmed.
