Aside from the new iteration of XPS 15 and G5 15, Dell has also unveiled the refreshed version of its Alienware m15 and Alienware m17 gaming laptops. From the outside, Alienware team has retained the same chassis design for both laptops which is based on the award-winning Legend design language.

Inside these laptops though, the m15 and m17 have received several upgrades which is inclusive of 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processor options of up to Intel Core i9-10980HK. Both models can also fit with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super graphics although m15 will have to settle for the Max-Q variant of the RTX 2080 Super while the m17 supports the full-blown Max-P variant of the GPU.

For those who want to taste a different flavour of GPU, they can also choose to have their m15 or m17 with the AMD Radeon RX 5500M instead. In order to manage the high-performance graphics hardware, the Alienware team has also increase the amount of voltage regulators in these laptops at up to 12-phase depending on the GPU option.

Alienware has also increased the cooling capability of its Cyro-Tech solution for both models with 40% increase of heat pipe surface area alongside larger fans with more fins than before. Variants with 12-phase GPU voltage regulators could also be equipped with vapor chamber cooling for their CPU.

Gamers can also choose to have 300Hz panel with the 2020 iteration of m15 and m17 although the 4K panel option will still stuck at 60Hz.  With the ability to support up to two 2TB solid state drives that can be combined into a RAID 0 4TB storage, m15 and m17 can also be fitted with another 512GB PCI M.2 SSD.
