The latest entry to Lenovo‘s durable ThinkPad series, the X1 Carbon Gen-8 is now available in Malaysia. The laptop is available in two variants which sports either a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen-8 is offered with a 14-inch WQHD screen, up to 16GB of LPDDR3 2133MHz RAM, SSD storage of up to 1TB M.2 2280, PCIe -NVMe OPAL, and a 51Wh battery. As mentioned earlier, you can choose between two processors: a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10210U or a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10610U vPro.
The Gen-8 retains much of its previous generation’s features such as the touchpad and the signature ThinkPad red TrackPoint in the center of its keyboard. Additionally, its keyboard layout has been redesigned to offer users quick access to answer and end video calls, or mute and unmute the mic at the touch of a button.
Other features include the ThinkShutter physical cover for its webcam, 360-degree microphones with noise-canceling, BlueTooth 5.0 and WiFi 6 support. As for I/O options, the X1 Carbon Gen-8 includes a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB-C 3.1, a HDMI 1.4, and one DisplayPort 1.2.
