Joining other Malaysian telcos that have contributed to the fight againt COVID-19 pandemic, Maxis has recently revealed that customers can now visit a select group of websites without affecting their data pool. In another words, there will no be data deducted from their quota for these websites.
It is not hard to see that these websites were chosen because they can provide vital information regarding COVID-19 as well as the effort by local authorities to stop the spread of the pandemic.
Here is the list of the sites which was appeared inside the MyMaxis, Hotlink RED, and Hotlink Flex app:
The screenshot above pretty much signifies that this complimentary data-free access is applicable to both postpaid and prepaid customers. As shown above, the notice didn’t specifically mention when this data-free access will last although we were informed by Maxis that it is valid for the next 30 days.
Meanwhile, please do your part as well in combating the COVID-19 pandemic by practicing good hygiene and stay home during the on-going Movement Control Order. Be calm, stay safe, and we’ll go through this storm together.
