Earlier this month, Adidas announced its collaboration with The Pokemon Company to make what the brand describes as a new line inspired by the game’s characters and “retro 8-bit graphics”. The good news is that some of the new merchandise is already available for purchase in Malaysia.
Before the Pokemon fans among you get too excited, there are some caveats you’ll need to be aware of before you go off on a shopping spree. Firstly, it appears the products can only be bought via Adidas Malaysia’s online store. Further, this point seemed to have been rectified by a writer over at local site, JOMGaming.
Second, the number of Adidas x Pokemon products available on the online store is still limited; currently, the store only lists down the Pokemon tracksuit, the Pokemon Phosphere Shoes, and Pokemon Advantage shoes. That said, Adidas did state in its global press release that there will also be t-shirts, pants, shorts, and another pair of shoes. Meaning that the store will likely expand its inventory with the new products over time.
Pricing for these new Adidas x Pokemon Collection starts from RM200 and top out at RM380 for now and, as mentioned earlier, are available on the Adidas Malaysia online store.
