The phone also features an 8MP ultra wide-angle, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth cameras as well as a 20MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Aside from the 64MP camera, the Redmi Note 8 Pro also marked the debut of the equally new MediaTek Helio G90T processor in Malaysia. Also equipped with 6.53-inch LTPS in-cell display, NFC capability, and 4500mAh battery, the phone comes standard with 6GB RAM and 18W fast charger in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, the non-Pro version of Redmi Note 8 is also being made available in our market. With a noticeably different physical design, the phone still carries quad rear camera setup but with lower resolution Samsung ISOCELL GM1 48MP sensor for its main camera and a 13MP selfie camera.

The standard variant of Redmi Note 8 is also powered by a different processor in the form of Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. The phone is also equipped with 4000mAh battery that is able to support 18W fast charger although the charger that Xiaomi has included in the box is rated lower at 10W.
