We don’t know why but seems like a lot of manufacturers feel that today is a good day to announce a new phone. The latest in the list is the Realme X series which has received its official launch just a few hours ago in China.

Equipped with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display and in-display fingerprint sensor, there is no display notch on Realme X as its selfie camera with 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor is housed within a motorized pop-up camera. The phone also comes with a dual rear camera system which includes the main with 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and f/1.7 lens, alongside another 5MP f/2.4 camera.

The Realme X is also equipped with a 3765mAh battery as standard. Aside from the standard Realme X that comes in Punk Blue and Steam White, there is also the Realme X Master Edition which features a special colourway called Yang Onion that was conceived by the Japanese industrial designer, Naoto Fukasawa.

In addition to that, Realme has also unveiled the Realme X Lite which is essentially a variant of Realme 3 Pro for China. Hence, you are looking at a similar set of hardware including 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, 25MP f/2.0 selfie camera that is housed within its display notch, a 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera system, and a 4045mAh battery.

Meanwhile, all Realme X devices mentioned above are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. Additionally, all of them also features 3.5mm headphone jack which is something that some users out there might appreciate.

Despite the differences in terms of USB ports, all three models also support 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 fast charging technology that Realme has borrowed from OPPO. The tech allows these phones to achieve more than 50% of their battery capacity with just 30 minutes of charging time.

On another hand, the Realme X Master Edition which only comes with 8GB/128GB option is priced at CNY 1899 (~RM 1,154).

As for Realme X Lite, it is available for CNY 1199 (~RM 729) for the 4GB/64GB model, CNY 1299 (~RM 790) for the 6GB/64GB option, and CNY 1499 (~RM 911) for 6GB/128GB variant. The Realme X series is scheduled for release in China later this month.
