Rapid KL has announced the introduction of MyCity passes which are designed for those that don’t frequently use Rapid KL public transportation network such as tourists or users that came from outside of Klang Valley. Available in the form of 1-day and 3-day passes, you can think of them as short-term unlimited passes as opposed to the month-long My100 or My50 unlimited passes.
Priced at RM 25 and RM 45 respectively, they are inclusive of a new Touch ‘n Go (TnG) card and a preloaded credit of RM 5. If you already have a TnG card, you can purchase the MyCity passes at a slightly lower price of RM 15 for 1-day access and RM 45 for a 3-day access. That being said, your TnG card must have a minimum balance of RM 5 in order to utilize these passes.
While MyCity passes provide users with unlimited access to MRT, LRT, Monorail, and BRT Sunway Line according to the duration of respective passes, the same unlimited access is not applicable for Rapid KL buses and MRT feeder buses though. Hence, users need to pay the fare on these buses using the available balance within the TnG card.
