The company has teased this before but now, it has finally confirmed this deal for real. In its media statement earlier today, Huawei Malaysia has revealed that early adopters of Huawei P30 series will indeed receive Huawei Backup drive for free.
The freebie was confirmed just as Huawei Malaysia teases the imminent arrival of P30 series into our market. However, it didn’t specify which model that will receive the freebie although the company pointed out that customers can expect to receive additional freebies on the launch day.
The Huawei Backup is equipped with 1TB hard drive that allows users to easily backup the contents on their phones easily without the need of any dedicated app. Built with IP54 water-resistant material, users can continue charging their supported Huawei devices during the backup process.
The device would also turn into an external hard drive when plugged to a PC. As far as we know, Huawei Backup was not officially released in Malaysia but in China, the device is currently available at Huawei’s official store for CNY 649 (~RM 394).
We should be hearing more from the company since the new P30 series will receive its official global in less than 24 hours’ time. So, stay tuned.
