Grab has now expanded its GrabCar rental service to Kuala Lumpur which is the first such location in Klang Valley. Prior to this, the service was put on trial in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah last month.
What made the GrabCar rental service different from the standard GrabCar offering is that customers are paying for the service by hour basis. Throughout their rental duration, customers can make unlimited stops and the rental fee already inclusive of the driver as well as fuel fees.
Another thing that made the rental service different from the standard GrabCar service is that it is available only from 9AM to 8PM instead of 24 hours. Here is the fee schedule, according to what listed inside Grab app this morning:
Even though the rental service is only available in KLCC for now, customers apparently are able to travel throughout Klang Valley via the service. If they choose to go to Genting Highlands or KLIA/KLIA2, there will be additional surcharge though.
