It’s been a gruelling three-day event for all the Dota 2 teams here at Acer Predator League 2019, but this year’s winning team has officially been crowned. Team TNC Predator, has been crowned the new Dota 2 champion of the tournament.

The Philippines-based team made it to the final round of the tournament to go head-on with the Indonesian-based team BOOM ID. To get to the finals, TNC Predator had beaten our own home-grown teams, LOTAC and GeekFam. Ultimately, the team won the championship title against BOOM ID by securing the majority number of victories.

On the subject of our own home-grown boys, Team GeekFam still managed to secure third place in the tournament, after BOOM ID naturally. That isn’t to say team LOTAC was without merit; the team had put up some fierce fighting, both during the entirety of the Losers Rounds. Giving both teams TNC Predator and BOOM ID a run for their money before their ultimate showdown.

Regarding the prizes, team TNC gets a grand crash prize of US$75000 (~RM306337) and Predator Helios 300 units for each member of the team. While both BOOM ID and GeekFam walk away with US$30000 (~RM122535) and US$15000 (~RM61267), respectively.

For the PUBG portion of the tournament, its team AF Fatal, PLM, and Immunity that have bagged first, second, and third place respectively. Based on the total point system of the Predator League tournament rules. Malaysian team Asbol ended its first bout in the tournament ranked 13th out of the 16 teams.

The prize pools for the PUBG winners are the same as that of the Dota 2 winners; in this instance, the winning team gets a grand money prize of US$75000 (~RM306337), along with a Helios 300 for each member of the team. Both PLM and Immunity will receive US$30000 (~RM122535) and US$15000 (~RM61267) respectively. For nabbing second and third place in the tournament.

That concludes the Acer’s second annual Predator League event here in Bangkok, Thailand. Next year’s Predator League 2020 will be held in the Philippines, and hopefully we will see more refinements made to the points systems of both titles, and quite probably the addition of another game title in the list.
