Almost two years after its initial promise, ViewQwest has finally achieved its objective of providing 1Gbps fiber Internet plan in Malaysia. The ISP which originally hails from Singapore yesterday has announced that it is now rolling out the plan to its customers.
Price-wise, it depends on how long customers are willing to commit to ViewQwest 1Gbps plan. For 12 months contracts, the monthly fee has been set at RM 168 per month while for customers that have no problem staying with the ISP for 24 months, the monthly fee is much lower at RM 148.
However, ViewQwest’s reach is still quite limited although it seems that the company has already expanded its coverage. Instead of just Setia Eco Glades Cyberjaya, the 1Gbps residential plan is also available in Setia Sky 88 and Susanna Iskandar in Johor Bharu as well as Tropicana Avenue and Tropicana Gardens in Petaling Jaya.
While ViewQwest didn’t specifically mention it in their announcement yesterday, the ISP has hinted that its existing customers will most likely able to upgrade to the new 1Gbps plan. To know more, you can reach out to ViewQwest Malaysia via its official website or Facebook page.
