In case you have nothing better to do this weekend, the good folks at 4A Games might have something for you to play. This is because the Malta-based Ukrainian video game developer is now offering Metro 2033 for free on Steam although the deal is only applicable for 24 hours.
Based on a novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2033 is the first game in the Metro video game series and was originally released in 2010. With a post-apocalyptic Moscow at its setting, the first-person shooter survival horror game features a character called Artyom which were asked to leave his home station in order to seek help after it was appeared to be “attacked” by mutant beings called the Dark Ones.
With most part of Metro 2033 taking place within the Moscow Metro underground tunnels, players will encounter various enemies in the form of human and mutants alike throughout the game. While Metro 2033 might feature a linear storyline, there are actually two possible endings which players can achieve based on some of the moral choices that they made in the game.
Metro 2033 might be more than 8 years old by now but hey, a free game is still a free game. As noted, the offer is only available for limited time and will be expired this Saturday at 1:00 am Malaysia time.
