While OPPO might have released its F9 smartphone in Malaysia with much fanfare last month, the phone was supposed to come in three colorways. However, the third color option will only be launched next month.
Called Starry Purple, the new color option is slightly different from the existing Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue colorways. While still featuring gradient fill which covers the phone’s back area and frame, the Starry Purple does not come with the diamond-shaped pattern as per the two other color options.
Instead, OPPO has implemented stardust-like pattern on the phone which pretty much explains the name behind this particular color option. In terms of hardware specs, the F9 Starry Purple edition still carries the same components as per existing F9 devices.
This means that it still comes with 6.3-inch Full HD+ LTPS display, MediaTek Helio P60, 6GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. Not to forget, a dual rear camera that featuring 16MP and 2MP sensors as well as 25MP selfie camera in a teardrop-shaped display notch and 3500mAh battery with support for OPPO’s own VOOC fast charge technology.
For the meantime, OPPO Malaysia has yet to reveal the price of F9 Starry Purple edition but we don’t expect it to be far off from the existing editions. In fact, it is likely to cost the same at RM 1399 but nevertheless, stay tuned for further information from OPPO itself on 2 October.
