It is something that we have been hearing for quite some time, but the confirmation has finally arrived earlier today as HMD Global has finally sent out media invite for the launch event for Nokia 6.1 Plus in Malaysia. True to our expectation, the device will also be accompanied by the new Nokia 5.1 Plus.

Originally launched as Nokia X6 back in May, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is equipped with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. It also carries 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage alongside dual 16MP and 5MP camera as well as 16MP selfie camera and 3060mAh battery.

Similarly, the Nokia 5.1 Plus was also known as the Nokia X5 when it was first unveiled in China two month ago. Also featuring a 5.8-inch 19:9 notched display, this model has a lower resolution HD+ panel though and powered by MediaTek Helio P60 processor together with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. A 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, and 3060mAh battery complete its general specifications.

Both devices will be launched in Malaysia on 26 September, so stay tuned for further information regarding their availability in our market on the said date.
