UPDATE: We have now include the general starting price of GeForce RTX series in this article alongside Founders Edition pricings.

Over at its GeForce Gaming Celebration event in Cologne just moments ago, NVIDIA has finally unveiled the next generation GeForce graphics cards. Position under the new GeForce RTX series, the first batch of cards under the new class come in the form of GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GeForce RTX 2080, and GeForce RTX 2070.

These new cards are based on the new Turing GPU which has just been announced by NVIDIA at SIGGRAPH 2018 last week. Similar to the professional level Quadro RTX cards, the new GeForce RTX cards are said to not only deliver up to six time the performance of predecessors but also deliver real-time ray tracing capability that helps deliver more realistic graphics scene inside video games.

In terms of raw specs, it depends on which version that customers choose to purchase as the GeForce RTX Founders Edition cards apparently offers higher boost clock. Here are a comparison of their general specs:

Price-wise, the new GeForce RTX 2080 Ti will go for USD 1199 (about RM 4920) while the GeForce RTX 2080 and GeForce RTX 2070 can be obtained for USD 799 (about RM 3279) and USD 599 (about RM 2458) respectively.  Do note that these pricings are meant for NVIDIA’s own Founders Edition cards and naturally, pricing for custom cards from manufacturers will be different from one model to another.

In fact, NVIDIA stated that the general starting price for these cards will be USD 499 (about RM 2050), USD 699 (about RM 2871), and USD 999 (about RM 4103) respectively. Of course, once again, these pricings differ from one market to another.

The general global availability of these cards will be from 20 September onwards with the exception of RTX 2070 which will be available in October. We will be reaching out to manufacturers everywhere for details regarding the release of their respective GeForce RTX cards in Malaysia, so keep a look for such information coming your way when the time comes.
