After the big unveiling today, we have reached out to ASUS Malaysia to obtain additional information regarding the company’s plan for the new ROG Phone in our market. While the company’s representatives stated that there are still plenty of things that need to be finalized before they are able to unleash the phone in our market, they do have an estimate release timeline for Malaysia.
Specially, the company is working to have the new ROG Phone to arrive in Malaysia within July or August 2018. If they managed to pull this off, this means that gamers in our market would not have to wait for too long in order to see or get their hands on the new high-performance phone themselves.
Naturally, we also attempted to obtain information regarding the pricing of the ROG Phone in Malaysia. As expected, ASUS Malaysia representatives were not able to disclose such information at this moment although they did point out that it will be competitively priced in comparison to other gaming phones in the market such as Razer Phone.
They also jokingly stated that ROG Phone will definitely be priced lower than Apple iPhone X. Well, guess it is good to know that the gaming phone will not cost beyond RM 4,800…for now.
