The refreshed ASUS ROG Strix Hero Edition GL503 and Scar Edition GL703 have arrived in Malaysia. These two Strix branded gaming laptops come with the newly released Intel Coffee Lake-H processors.
The new ROG Strix Hero Edition GL503 comes fitted with a Core i7-8750H mobile processor. Besides the new CPU, the GL503 also comes with a healthy 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti discrete GPU. Storage-wise, the notebook comes with a 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD combo. Finally, the notebook comes with a 15.6″ Full HD display
Apart from the Core i7-8750H mobile processor, the ROG Strix Scar Edition GL703 comes in three configurations. At RM5,299, you get 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB PCIe SSD and 1TB SSHD, and a GTX 1050 Ti discrete GPU. Display-wise, the notebook comes with a 15.6″ 120Hz Full HD display.
For RM6,999 though, the ROG Strix Scar Edition GL703 comes with 16GB of RAM, a 256GB PCIe SSD, plus a GTX 1060. Of course, if you’re willing to spend a premium of RM8,799, you can get the model with 16GB of RAM, the same 256GB and 1TB SSHD combo, but a more powerful GTX 1070 GPU. In this case, the display refreshed rate is bumped up to 144Hz instead of 120Hz.
The ROG Strix Hero Edition GL503 is already available at all authorised retailers and ASUS stores. It will retail at an SRP of RM4,899. The ROG Strix Scar Edition GL703 is likewise already available at all authorised retailers.
