Regardless of your opinion of the notch on Apple iPhone X, it seems that more and more smartphones will be adopting the design anyway. Among them is OPPO R15 and R15 Plus based on a new teaser that have been published by the well-known Chinese phone manufacturer.
As shown below, OPPO is not even trying to hide that its upcoming R15 and R15 Plus will feature a notch on their display. At the same time, it seems that the company is also trying to highlight full screen display as another design feature of the device.
Apart from these features, the teaser didn’t provide any hints that might be related to other features within these new devices. While the notch might be closely associated with iPhone X, this is not the first time that it has appeared on Android phones though.
For example, the previously released Essential Phone and Sharp Aquos S2 already featured such design but it seems like the design might be a new norm soon. In addition to OPPO’s upcoming offerings, we have seen the notch on many new devices at MWC 2018 such as ASUS ZenFone 5/ZenFone 5F, and Wiko View 2.
Meanwhile, it has been a while since OPPO released its R-series devices in Malaysia. Will the company revive the series in our market through its new R15 and R15 Plus? Well, we shall know soon enough.
