Originally scheduled for release last month, the ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC has finally landed in Malaysia. As mentioned before, what made this particular model unique as compared to pretty much any gaming laptop in the market at the moment is the processor that ASUS has choose for it.
Comes standard with a 17.3-inch full HD IPS display, the laptop is equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 1700 desktop processor alongside AMD Radeon RX 580 with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM as its graphics processor. Together with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, the Malaysian variant of the laptop also carries a 256GB solid state drive and a 1TB 7200rpm hard drive.
The ROG Strix GL702ZC also features a keyboard with red-colored backlighting, 1.6mm key travels, and 30-key rollover capability. In addition to the laptop’s Hyper Cool Duo-Cooper cooling system which allows the CPU and GPU inside the laptop to be cooled independently from each other, it also comes with a 76Whr battery.
That being said, potential owners of this laptop would likely to use it at home most of the time since it is rather hefty at 3.2kg. Price-wise, the new ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC can be obtained immediately from ASUS retailers throughout the country for RM 7,099.
