True to its promise, OPPO has launched its A83 smartphone in Malaysia earlier this week. As mentioned before, this particular model is a mid-range smartphone can generally be deemed as the toned-down version of the company’s F5 series.
Equipped with the same MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763T processor as per F5, the A83 also features an 18:9 full-screen display although it is slightly smaller at 5.7-inch. The display also has lower 720p resolution as opposed to F5’s full HD display.
The A83 is also equipped with a 13MP f/2.2 rear camera which is similar to F5 Youth alongside 8MP f/2.2 front camera that is enhanced by the same AI-based technology from the F5 series. Comes standard with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, the phone is powered by a 3180mAh battery.
Priced at RM 899, the new OPPO A83 can be obtained in Gold or Black colorway from OPPO dealers throughout Malaysia. Alternatively, it can also be purchased directly from OPPO Malaysia’s official Lazada store which is currently offering free Olike back shell case and tempered glass screen protector alongside each purchase of the A83.
