Now that the world has unlock the golden reward for Niantic’s Pokémon Go Global Catch Challenge, what’s next on Niantic’s agenda? Ho-Oh of course. Niantic just announced that they are releasing Ho-Oh raid battles around the world.
From now until 12 December 2017, you will start seeing Ho-Oh in raid battles. It is a legendary raid boss, so look out for level 5 eggs in Pokémon gyms near you, and get ready to unlock your Pokémon for one of the most popular Pokémon available now in Pokémon Go.
Last week, Niantic announced its Global Catch Challenge, encouraging trainers around the world to catch as many Pokémon as they can to unlock rewards. It took about five days for trainers to catch 3 billion Pokémon in total, unlocking the Gold reward, releasing Farfetch’d around the world, and Kangaskhan in East Asia.
Speaking of Pokémon Go, for those of you who have just gotten your brand new iPhone X, you must head on to the App Store to update your Pokémon Go app, which has been optimised for the iPhone X’s screen resolution.
For all other users, do head on to the App Store and Play Store to update your app as well. The update resolves a bug causing error banners to remain visible until the app is restarted, and most important of all, resolves a bug that prevented trainers from powering up Pokémon to their max CP.
