Confirmed: Vivo V7 is Coming to Malaysia This Week

The vivo V7 is set to launch in Malaysia later this week. The slightly smaller sibling to the V7+ that was launched back in September, the vivo V7 is likely to retain the same set of hardware but with some minor changes to accommodate the smaller chassis.

The Chinese company looks set to keep a strong momentum for the end of 2017. vivo has not only announced the V7+, it has also inked a deal with Qualcomm to supply components and cooperative R&D worth $4 billion over the next three years. This comes after it already announced new technologies such as the under-display fingerprint sensor earlier this year.

Similar to the V7+, the vivo V7 looks set to feature a bezel-free display, and was recently launched in Indonesia, confirming the set of hardware. The device features a 5.7-inch FullView display with a 1440 x 720 resolution, 4GB of RAM, an Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, and 32GB of expandable storage. The battery capacity is only slightly smaller than the V7+, at 3,000mAh (vs 3,225mAh).

The V7 will retain vivo’s selfie-centric approach, with a 24MP selfie camera with Face Beauty 7.0 enhancement software, and a Selfie Softlight feature onboard. The selfie camera will also have Portrait Mode, for professional-looking bokeh effects. The rear camera, meanwhile, is a 16MP shooter.

vivo Malaysia has confirmed that the vivo V7 will be launching in Malaysia on 22 November in Kuala Lumpur. Full details, including the price, will be revealed at the launch event. Given that the V7+ retails for RM1,499, we can expect the V7 to cost lower than that.
