It has come to our attention that TM has just rebranded its public Wi-Fi service from TM WiFi to wifi@unifi. Not only that, the service is now being offered for free from 16 September till the end of this year according to the information revealed by the spanking new official website for Unifi.
Under the current free promotion, users are to utilize wifi@unifi service without any limitation with speed of up to 4Mbps. To access it, all users need to do is connect their device to “wifi@unifi” SSID while they are in the coverage zone and watch the 15-seconds advertisement on the service’s landing page.
Prior to this promo, free access is limited to 30 minutes per day alongside maximum connection speed of 1Mbps although UniFi and Streamyx customers do receive free access to the TM Wifi at the full 4Mbps speed but they are still restricted to 500MB quota per day. Alternatively, users can choose to pay RM 3 per day for full unlimited access.
Meanwhile, the website has also mentioned that TM has come out with an app to go together with wifi@unifi service but we still not able to locate it within Apple App Store and Google Play. We are now reaching out to TM to learn more about this app as well as its newly rebranded public Wi-Fi service.
