Tonight, or 1am tomorrow morning to be precise, Apple will be hosting an event. The company is expected to announce the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, as well as the much talked about iPhone X. On top of that, thanks to a leaked tvOS 11 firmware, it looks like the company will be announcing its fifth generation Apple TV too, called the Apple TV 4K.
This is not a surprise of course, it was previously already reported that Apple would finally introduce a new Apple TV with 4K support. The tvOS firmware confirms that Apple will call the new set top box the Apple TV 4K, and it will be more powerful than before. Developer @stroughtonsmith says that the Apple TV 4K has three-core A10 Fusion chipset, and 3GB of RAM. That’s a huge jump from the existing Apple TV, which is powered by an A8 processor with 2GB of RAM.

Other things leaked in the firmware include UHD images for the Top Shelf feature on Apple TV, support for HDR, Dolby Vision, AirPlay 2, and an updated Siri Remote.
Apple’s launch event will be happening at 1am on 13 September 2017, so stay tuned for the official announcement form the Cupertino company.
