Acer has showcased what the company claims to be its most powerful custom gaming PC. Acer’s new gaming desktop is called the “Predator Orion 9000” and it features a really good looking chassis, insanely powerful components, and wheels.
Let’s first talk about the chassis of the Predator Orion 9000. It features a matte black and metallic silver colour scheme along with angular designs throughout. Besides that, the chassis of this custom gaming PC is also endowed with RGB elements on the front and a rather unique see-through side panel.
According to Acer, the side panels on the Predator Orion 9000 is capable of reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) that may occur from the components inside the PC or other electronics found outside of the chassis.
When it comes to specifications, Acer has mentioned that the Predator Orion 9000 custom gaming PC will feature Intel’s Core i9-7980XE CPU, which is blessed with 18 CPU cores.
In addition, Acer has also stated that consumers will be able to opt for up to a 4-way Radeon RX Vega graphics card configuration. The other option is, of course, a 2-way GTX 1080 Ti SLI configuration. It’s also worth noting of the fact that the Predator Orion 9000 comes with liquid-cooling components. The custom gaming PC was seen to be equipped with a massive AIO liquid CPU cooler during Acer’s IFA 2017 event.
Acer’s Predator Orion 9000 gaming PC will be made available in North America and Europe from December 2017 onwards, with a starting price of US$1,999 (about RM8,543). Local availability and pricing was not mentioned at the time of writing.
