Asus has announced its latest promotion for gamers and PC enthusiasts in Malaysia. The company will be bundling RM100 Steam wallet for purchases of selected Asus-branded X299 motherboards along with a GTX 1070 graphics cards or higher. According to Asus, this promotion is made “in effort to encourage local end users and enthusiasts alike to explore the newly released Intel X299 platform.”
For those who are unaware: Intel’s X299 platform is the company’s newest chipset made specifically for HEDT Core-X series processors – which were announced at Computex 2017. That aside, Asus had officially launched three of its X299 motherboards in Malaysia; namely the ROG Strix X299-E Gaming, TUF X299 Mark 2, and Prime X299-A.
When it comes to pricing, the ROG Strix X299-E comes with a price tag of RM1,735, while the Prime X299-A is priced at RM1,690. The more affordable TUF X299 Mark 2, on the other hand, has a modest price of RM1,318. We do, however, encourage our dear readers to do some further reading about X299 motherboards in general, because some models only support Kaby Lake-X processors and not Skylake-X.
Do keep in mind, again, that this promotion is only valid if you’ve purchased an Asus-branded X299 motherboard with a GTX 1070 or higher graphics card. Regardless, Asus’ X299 promotion will run until 30 September 2017.
