OnePlus has introduced a new “Soft Gold” colourway for its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5. Now available in select markets, it is the third colour option for the smartphone, alongside Slate Grey and Midnight Black.
Unlike the two colourways, the Soft Gold OnePlus 5 has a white front, very likely to go along with the lighter hue at the back. The hardware remains the same as the base OnePlus 5 though: Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM, 64GB of storage, 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge, 5.5-inch Full HD display, and a 16MP + 20MP dual camera setup.
Alongside the new colour update, OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 5 variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will soon be available on the Slate Grey colourway. Previously, the highest-end configuration was only available in Midnight Black.
The Soft Gold OnePlus 5 is available immediately in selected markets around the world, and is priced at $479 (about RM2,050). There’s no information yet whether this colourway will be coming to Malaysia, but given that the gold OnePlus 3T did come our way, there’s a strong likelihood that this one will, too.
