We’ve seen quite a number of promotions on MacBooks over the past couple of months, but the discounts are not quite as steep as this most recent one. Now, Touch Bar-equipped MacBook Pro laptops are going for as much as RM1,000 less in Malaysia; that’s a pretty generous price cut.
This discount is being offered by Machines, one of the most prominent official Apple resellers in Malaysia. Of course, these discounted MacBook Pro laptops are the 2016 models, but considering the fact that the 2017 MacBooks aren’t major upgrades, we imagine these are still pretty good buys.
Let’s start with the 2016 13-inch Touch Bar-equipped MacBook Pro. Originally retailing at RM7,599, this model is now going for RM6,999; that’s RM600 less. However, note that this is the base model with 256GB of storage. The 512GB variant, on the other hand, still goes for RM8,399.
And then we have the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, which received the highest discount. The 256GB base model now retails at RM9,999 (RM200 less), while the higher-end 512GB variant is priced at RM10,999 – that’s RM1,000 off of the original asking price.
Machines did not specify if these new prices is a limited-time promotion, but nonetheless, any price cut is always welcome. If you’re keen to get your hands on any of these 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, you can do so on Machines’ online store.
