In a rather curious post on PlayStation Asia’s Facebook page, Sony Interactive Entertainment earlier today has asked its fans to mark down 5 August 2017 on their calendar. What made the post even more interesting is that it is meant specifically for those in Malaysia.
In fact, the post is visible only for Facebook users in Malaysia. Aside from mentioning the date and Kuala Lumpur, the post does not contain any single hint on what is going to happen on that particular day. You can see the actual post below:
We have actually contacted our friends at SIE regarding this and obviously, they are not ready to spill out their secret at the moment. Given the fact that the company didn’t launch any new hardware during E3 2017, the possibility of a new PlayStation hardware to be released in Malaysia seems to be quite low
Hence, PlayStation Asia’s “Save The Date” teaser could be anything at the moment – games, services (PlayStation Now?), or even an on-ground event. Guess we have to wait until SIE ready to reveal more information about what it has in store for fans in Malaysia on 5 August 2017.
